NAD+. The longevity molecule.

A coenzyme present in every cell of your body that declines with age, stress, alcohol use, and metabolic disease. IV NAD+ delivers this molecule directly to your bloodstream, bypassing the gut, where oral NAD+ is poorly absorbed.

The Science

What NAD+ actually does.

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell of the human body. It is one of the most abundant and essential molecules in biology, required for converting food into energy, repairing damaged DNA, regulating circadian rhythm, and activating proteins called sirtuins that are involved in cellular aging.

Research by Dr. David Sinclair (Harvard) and Dr. Shin-ichiro Imai (Washington University in St. Louis) has shown that NAD+ levels decline measurably with age, by some estimates, by 50% between ages 40 and 60. Lower NAD+ has been associated with reduced mitochondrial function, fatigue, and accelerated cellular aging in animal models.

Boosting NAD+ levels, through IV infusion, oral precursors (NR, NMN), or both, is one of the most active areas of longevity research right now. NAD+ is not a "cure-all," but the underlying biology is well-established.

Reported Effects

What clients describe after NAD+ sessions.

Clinical literature on NAD+ IV in humans is still emerging, much of the strongest evidence comes from animal studies and oral NAD+ precursor trials. Below are the most consistently reported subjective effects from clients in real-world use.

Mental clarity

Many clients describe sharper focus and reduced brain fog within 24-48 hours of an IV session, often lasting days to weeks.

Sustained energy

A more even, sustained energy level, distinct from caffeine. Particularly noticeable in clients who report chronic fatigue.

Improved sleep

Some clients report deeper sleep and easier wake-up after a series of NAD+ sessions. Likely tied to circadian rhythm regulation.

Recovery support

Athletes and clients in physically demanding work report faster recovery and reduced soreness between sessions.

Hangover and burnout reset

Used as a periodic reset after high-stress periods, heavy travel, or alcohol-heavy stretches. Anecdotal but consistent.

Sense of calm

Some clients describe feeling calmer and more even-keeled after a series. Mechanism is plausible but not yet rigorously studied in humans.

Honest caveat. NAD+ IV therapy is not FDA-approved for any specific medical condition. The strongest peer-reviewed evidence remains in animal studies and oral NAD+ precursor trials. We do not claim NAD+ treats, prevents, or cures any disease. Most of our clients use it as part of a broader wellness, longevity, or recovery protocol.
What to Expect

Your first NAD+ session.

Intake

Pre-session screening

We review medical history, medications, and goals. NAD+ has more contraindications than standard hydration, we screen carefully.

Setup

Slow drip rate

NAD+ must be infused slowly. Going too fast causes flushing, chest tightness, or stomach discomfort. We start slow and adjust based on your tolerance.

During

Expect some sensations

Many clients feel chest fluttering, warmth, or mild nausea during the infusion. These are normal and resolve when we slow the rate.

After

Effects build over days

Some clients feel an immediate energy lift; for most, the noticeable effects emerge over 1-3 days. Many do a series of 3-6 sessions over 4-6 weeks.

Important

NAD+ is not for everyone.

NAD+ has a longer contraindication list than standard hydration. We screen carefully and decline service when the situation calls for it.

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Active cancer treatment
  • Unmanaged cardiovascular disease
  • Recent stroke or heart attack
  • Severe kidney or liver disease
  • On certain medications without physician approval
  • Allergy to NAD+ or any component
  • Children, NAD+ IV is not used in pediatrics
Pre-clearance for serious conditions. If you have a significant medical history, we may ask for clearance from your physician before your first NAD+ session. This is for your safety, and we will not push back if your doctor says no.

(The molecule)

The coenzyme behind cellular energy.

NAD+ helps power hundreds of reactions in every living cell, from converting food into energy to supporting the body's natural repair cycles. Research suggests levels decline steeply with age, which is why NAD+ has become a centerpiece of longevity medicine.

Questions

NAD+ IV, answered.

What does NAD+ actually do?

NAD+ is a coenzyme your cells require for energy production and repair processes, and levels decline with age. IV supplementation is backed by emerging research and enthusiastic anecdotes; we present it honestly as promising, not proven.

Why does the infusion take 90 to 120 minutes?

NAD+ is comfort-sensitive: infused too fast it can cause flushing or chest tightness. Your nurse controls the rate the entire session and slows it the moment you feel anything, which is what the longer window is for.

How many sessions do people do?

Protocol enthusiasts often start with a short series of full infusions, then maintain monthly or quarterly. Our 100mg NAD+ Boost is the common maintenance dose between full sessions.

Do you come to my area?

Yes. WholeHealth Hydration is a mobile service covering Orange County, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. Same-day slots are most common in coastal Orange County, and a small travel fee may apply depending on distance.

Should I start with the full 250mg or the Boost?

New to NAD, start with the 100mg Boost to learn how your body responds. Committed to a longevity protocol, the full 250mg infusion delivers more per session. Many clients alternate the two.
