Safety & Clinical

Are your nurses actually licensed?

Yes. Every drip is administered by a California-licensed Registered Nurse, not a medical technician, paramedic, or "wellness specialist." Our lead RN holds a CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) credential and has years of in-home clinical care experience.

Where do you source your ingredients?

Every IV fluid, vitamin, mineral, and additive is sourced from licensed compounding pharmacies in California. We document the lot number, expiration date, and source of every bag we administer. We do not buy ingredients online, in bulk from unverified suppliers, or from any non-pharmacy source.

Is IV hydration safe?

IV hydration is generally well-tolerated when administered by licensed professionals using pharmacy-sourced ingredients. The most common side effects are mild bruising at the IV site, brief vitamin taste, or warmth during infusion. Serious adverse reactions are rare but possible, that is why we screen carefully and decline service when the situation calls for it. See our safety page for full details.

Who should NOT get an IV?

Pregnancy (without OB approval), active heart, kidney, or liver disease, hemochromatosis or iron overload, G6PD deficiency (for high-dose vitamin C), recent serious medical events without clearance, known allergy to any component, certain medications, and children under 18 without pediatrician approval. We screen every client and will decline if the situation is not safe.

What if I have a reaction?

Your RN is trained to recognize and respond to reactions, has emergency medications on hand, and can call for higher-level care if needed. The IV is removed immediately at the first sign of any concerning symptom. We do not leave you alone during the infusion.

Sessions & Logistics

How long does a drip take?

Standard hydration and vitamin drips run 30-60 minutes. Myers Cocktail is typically 45 minutes. NAD+ takes 90-120 minutes because it must be infused slowly for comfort, going too fast causes flushing, chest tightness, or nausea.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

Often, yes. We hold same-day slots on our calendar for clients across Orange County's primary coverage area. Same-day for Greater LA or Inland Empire is harder to guarantee, usually 24-48 hours notice.

Where can the drip happen?

Anywhere clean, climate-controlled, and stationary. Homes, hotels, offices, event venues, yachts in slip, private aircraft on the ground. We do not administer IVs in moving vehicles or unsafe environments.

Do I need to prepare?

Eat something light beforehand (not on an empty stomach) and hydrate normally that morning. Wear a top that exposes your forearm. Other than that, nothing required.

What if you cannot find a vein?

Our nurses have years of clinical IV experience and rarely have difficulty. If a particular site does not work, we try another. If we still cannot establish an IV after reasonable attempts, we do not charge, and we will reschedule if you want to try again on a different day.

Pricing & Payment

How much do drips cost?

Essentials drips start at $249. Signature drips range $399-$429. NAD+ runs $499-$799 depending on dose. Event packages are quoted per person based on group size. See our full breakdown of how much mobile IV therapy costs and what every price includes, or view the menu pricing here.

Is this covered by insurance?

No. Whole Health Hydration is a private-pay wellness service and we do not bill insurance. Some clients use HSA or FSA funds to cover certain components, check with your plan administrator.

Are there cancellation fees?

Cancellations 24+ hours in advance: no charge. Within 24 hours: 50% fee. Within 2 hours of the appointment or no-show: full charge. We are reasonable about emergencies, if something genuine comes up, just let us know.

Do you offer a membership?

Yes, Whole Health Monthly ($299/mo for one drip + perks) and Whole Health Quarterly ($799/qtr for three drips + perks). See the membership section for details.

Specific Drips

What is the Myers Cocktail?

The original IV vitamin formula, magnesium, calcium, B-complex, B12, B6, and vitamin C. Developed in the 1960s by Dr. John Myers at Johns Hopkins, refined in the 1980s by Dr. Alan Gaby. Traditionally associated with energy, immune support, hydration, and recovery. Individual results vary. Full page on the Myers Cocktail.

What is NAD+ and why is it expensive?

NAD+ is a coenzyme essential for cellular energy and DNA repair. It declines with age. IV NAD+ is more expensive than other drips because the molecule itself costs more, the infusion takes longer (90-120 min), and the protocol requires careful titration. Full page on NAD+.

Does the Glow drip really help my skin?

The Glow contains glutathione (the body's master antioxidant), vitamin C (collagen synthesis), biotin, and B-complex. These ingredients are associated with skin and antioxidant support, and individual results vary. It is not a substitute for skincare or dermatology, it is a complement.

Can I customize a drip?

Yes. Tell us what you are trying to accomplish and your nurse will customize a formula based on what you need. We can also add individual components to any standard drip from our add-ons menu.
