How It Works

How a mobile shot visit works.

Booking a mobile vitamin shot takes four steps and about 15–20 minutes door to door. You book online or by text, a licensed provider reviews your health history and issues an order (California's good-faith exam), your RN arrives with sterile single-use supplies, and the injection itself takes under five minutes.

Shot-only house calls carry a two-shot or visit minimum so a mobile trip pencils out — but there's no minimum when you add a shot to any IV appointment, since the travel is already covered. Any travel fee that applies to your zip code is disclosed before you confirm, never after.

  • Book online or by text in minutes
  • Provider reviews history & orders
  • Critical-care RN administers on-site
  • Sterile, single-use supplies every visit
  • Home, office, or hotel across four counties
  • Add to any IV for the lowest rate
Vitamin B12

What does a B12 shot do?

Vitamin B12 plays a role in the body's normal energy metabolism, red blood cell formation, and nervous system function. An intramuscular injection delivers B12 directly, bypassing digestion — which is why clients on plant-based diets or with absorption concerns often choose shots. If your B12 levels aren't low, you may not notice a dramatic difference.

We'd rather be honest than oversell: research suggests there's little added benefit to extra B12 if you're not actually low. The groups where B12 status matters most are vegans and vegetarians, older adults, and people with digestive or absorption issues. If that's you, a shot can be a simple way to keep levels topped up.

Our B12 is available as methylcobalamin or cyanocobalamin. Both are well-studied forms; methylcobalamin is the body's active form, while cyanocobalamin is highly stable and widely used. Your provider can help you choose. For general wellness most clients book a shot monthly, or a four-shot series for a weekly cadence, alongside their full IV and injection menu favorites.

Cadence

How often should you get a B12 injection?

For general wellness, most clients schedule B12 injections weekly to monthly, depending on their goals, diet, and our medical team's guidance. Deficiency treatment follows different, provider-directed protocols. Many WholeHealth Hydration clients pair a monthly shot with an IV appointment or book a four-shot series for a weekly cadence across the month.

A four-pack is the most economical way to run a weekly rhythm — it saves roughly 12% versus single shots and locks in the add-on convenience across the month. Families in Chino Hills, Corona, and Rancho Cucamonga often book a household series so several people share one visit. Your ideal cadence is always a conversation with our provider, not a fixed rule.

NAD+ Injection

NAD+ injection or NAD+ IV — which should I choose?

An NAD+ IV delivers a larger dose over a 1–4 hour monitored session; an NAD+ injection takes minutes, uses a smaller dose, costs less, and is typically repeated 1–3 times weekly as ongoing support. Many clients start or maintain with injections and book IV sessions for deeper protocols. NAD+ levels naturally decline with age.

NAD+ is a coenzyme every cell uses to help power hundreds of reactions, from converting food into energy to the body's natural repair cycles. Research suggests levels fall with age, which is why it's become a centerpiece of longevity wellness. We do not claim NAD+ reverses aging — the honest framing is cellular-energy support, not a cure.

The practical difference is dose, time, and price. A shot is a fast, repeatable touchpoint you can add to almost any visit; a drip is the deeper, monitored session. Curious which fits your goals? Read is NAD+ IV therapy worth it, or explore the full NAD+ IV therapy page.

Glutathione

What is a glutathione shot for?

Glutathione, often called the body's "master antioxidant," is studied for its role in supporting natural antioxidant and detoxification processes. Many clients add it to a skin-wellness routine for a healthy-looking glow, typically as a weekly series. It's also the most popular IV add-on. Individual results vary, and we make no skin-lightening claims.

To be clear and compliant: we do not offer or claim skin-lightening or whitening. The FDA has warned against injectable glutathione marketed for skin bleaching, and it is not FDA-approved for cosmetic use. What we support is a normal antioxidant routine some clients feel contributes to a healthy-looking complexion. Whether that's noticeable varies from person to person.

Glutathione is our most-requested pairing with a hydration drip — many clients add it to a Myers' Cocktail IV or book the Radiance Combo with B12. As a shot it's usually run as a weekly series; the four-pack keeps that rhythm affordable.

Vitamin D3

Is a vitamin D injection better than a daily supplement?

Not for everyone — oral vitamin D3 works well for most people. Injections are an option our medical team discusses for adults who struggle with daily supplements or don't absorb oral D well. Vitamin D supports normal bone health, muscle function, immune function, and mood balance, and injectable vitamin D is prescription-only in the U.S.

Because injectable vitamin D is prescription-only, this shot is a good example of our provider-order model in action: a licensed physician, NP, or PA reviews your history and issues the order before your RN administers it. If a daily pill is working for you, we'll happily tell you to keep it up — a shot is simply another tool for people who need one.

Safety & Credentials

Do I need a prescription for a vitamin shot?

Yes — these injections require a provider's order. California law requires a good-faith exam by a physician, NP, or PA and a patient-specific order before administration; the RN administers but cannot order (Business & Professions Code § 2725.1). At WholeHealth Hydration, a licensed provider reviews your health history before your critical-care-experienced RN gives the shot.

  • Good-faith provider exam & patient-specific order (CA B&P § 2725.1)
  • Administered by a critical-care-experienced California-licensed RN
  • Sterile, single-use needles and supplies every visit
  • Medications sourced from licensed U.S. pharmacies
  • Injectable vitamin D and NAD+ are prescription-only
  • We decline service when a situation calls for it
Wellness, not diagnosis. Our injections are intended to support normal wellness — they are not a substitute for medical care or a balanced diet, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Individual results vary. If your goals are clinical, we'll help you connect with the right care.
Group, Household & Office

Shots for your whole group in one visit.

Booking for several people at once is the smartest way to use a mobile visit: one trip, one visit fee, and every shot after the first is effectively at add-on economics. It's a favorite for households, bridal parties, athletic teams, and offices from Newport Beach and Fullerton to Ontario and Redlands.

A partner or coworker can add their own shot at the same appointment, and group bookings help solve the travel math so more of your dollar goes to the care. Planning something bigger? Our event packages and Southern California service area pages cover parties, weddings, and corporate wellness days.

Where We Come To You

Serving four counties from our Chino Hills base.

From our Chino Hills base we bring mobile vitamin injections across all four Southern California counties: Chino, Corona, Eastvale, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Riverside, and Redlands in the Inland Empire; Anaheim, Irvine, Newport Beach, and Fullerton in Orange County; and Pasadena and Long Beach in Los Angeles County. Same-day appointments are often available.

Wherever you are, the model is the same — a licensed provider's order and a critical-care RN at your door. Any travel fee for your specific zip code is disclosed before you book, never as a surprise. See our full Southern California service area for coverage details, or explore peptide therapy and our medical weight loss program if you're building a broader wellness plan.

Shot vs. Drip

Vitamin shot or IV drip — which is better?

They serve different purposes. An IV delivers fluids plus multiple nutrients with complete absorption over a 45–60 minute session; an IM shot delivers one targeted nutrient in under five minutes at roughly one-third to one-fifth the price of a drip. Shots win for speed, cost, and routine; drips win for hydration and multi-nutrient sessions.

If you're mostly after one nutrient on a busy day, a shot is the efficient choice. If you want fluids, several nutrients, and a full reset, a drip earns its longer session. Many clients do both — a monthly drip anchored by weekly shots. Curious about full drip pricing? Our mobile IV therapy cost guide breaks down every 2026 number.

Do vitamin shots hurt, and how long does the visit take?

Most people feel a quick pinch — the injection goes into the deltoid or glute and takes under five minutes. Mild soreness or redness at the site can occur and typically resolves quickly. For a mobile visit, your RN reviews your health history first, so plan on roughly 15–20 minutes door to door.
